With the desire to share a part of the difficulties, help people to stabilize their lives after the disaster, Hai Phat Group has donated and presented nearly 1 billion VND in cash to the floodplain people of Thua Thien Hue province. In recent days, in Thua Thien Hue, floods caused great damage in both life and property. As of October 20, 2020, this flood took the lives of 9 people in Thua Thien Hue province and injured 8 people. In some parts of Hue, it is still flooded,this is not only causing difficulties in living, studying and traveling, but also directly threatening people's livelihoods. The whole province has nearly 85,000 houses flooded from 1.2 to 2.5 m, of which the heaviest flooding is in two districts downstream of Bo river, Quang Dien (16,228 houses) and Phong Dien (13,003 houses). In agriculture, hundreds of hectares of vegetables and fruits were destroyed; many fish and seafood farms were swept away, causing great damage. Understanding the difficulties of people in flooded areas, on October 24, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, the representative of Hai Phat Group approved the Vietnam Fatherland Environment Committee of Thua Thien Hue province to donate 500 million VND to support people of Thua Thien Hue province overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.

Earlier on October 23, the representative of Hai Phat Group directly visited and supported in cash with the total amount of nearly 500 million VND for people in Phu Loc district, Phong Dien district, Quang Dien district.

The delegation also visited and condoled with the family of the late Chairman of Phong Dien district - Nguyen Van Binh, who died while participating in the search and rescue at Rao Trang Hydropower. The representative of Hai Phat Group also donated 20 million VND to the program of building a new house for martyrs' family Nguyen Van Binh that launched by the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien Hue province.

The representative of Hai Phat Group said that with the desire to share difficulties with the people and authorities of the central provinces, Hai Phat Group launched a call for all employees of the Group and member corporations, joined hands to support at least 1 day's salary to move to the floodplains in Central Vietnam. During the 17 years of development, whether it is favorable or difficult, Hai Phat Group has always been towards the community, actively contributing to the society, replicating charity programs with the spirit of sharing and caring for unlucky life, honoring poor students with good academic achievements to motivate them to overcome difficulties and challenges in life.
