Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has issued a document directing the Ministry of Construction and People's Committees of provinces and cities to continue implementing the policy of selling state-owned houses (SHNN) according to Decree No. 61/CP until the date of approval. there is a new decree to replace it. The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Construction to draft a decree to replace Decree 61/CP and submit it to the Government before October 2011. Thus, with this policy, those who are currently renting houses under the State Bank who are eligible to buy under Decree 61/CP will have more opportunities to enjoy their benefits. It is known that in Ho Chi Minh City there are currently about 3,000 cases of renting houses from SHNN, of which more than 1,000 cases are eligible to be settled to buy houses. Hanoi has more than 50,000 apartments under SHNN that have not yet been sold and granted certificates, but by the end of 2010 have received 15,314 applications to buy houses.
